Photographer + Educator

Natural & candid photographer with 15+ years experience.  I believe in capturing moments as they happen. That means genuine smiles, belly laughs, and all the moments in between. With prompts + natural posing, I pride myself in making my clients feel comfortable.

In my family sessions I want to create emotion with games, cuddles, and dancing. Photographers, I want our experience together to bring a new point of creativity into your work. Seniors, I want you to feel confident because you are who you are and THAT is what makes you amazing. With couples it is all about that spark - you know what I’m talking about. I just want your images to be treasured & to make your heart completely full. I truly look forward to meeting you and yours. 

{a little about me}

I started showing interest in photography when I was just a wee little thing. I would pose my cats (yes, I said cats) and photograph them on my film camera. I decided to continue on with that love & headed to Nashville after college. This is where I received my Bachelor's in Photography and started my career. When I came back home to Metropolis, IL - I quickly fell in love with my husband, Jerry. We now live in Paducah, KY with two rowdy girls, Kyrie + Phoenix.

As much as we love exploring, we can also dig a rainy, lazy day watching Netflix on the couch. Photography is my jam, but don't get me wrong -- my family is my everything. They inspire me. They motivate me.

If you are wondering where the Mizell comes from - it’s my maiden name. Since I had the business before we were married, it felt wrong to change it. Plus, my dad was pretty proud I kept the family name (also my daughters middle name). If you asked me what job I wish I had - I’d say I’d stick with the one I already got.
